Butler Training

The American Butler School offers comprehensive butler training programs aimed at upgrading the skills of hospitality service professionals who wish to enter the world of private service. At present we offer these programs only to the professionals who have joined our staff of butlers as a means to enhance their skills. However we plan to open enrollment to all qualified hospitality professionals in the future.

Accreditation – The American Butler School is currently applying for national accreditation as a certified trade school by the ACCSCT (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology) and licensing by the Florida Commission for Independent Education. Pursing these approvals, prior offering the school to non-staff butlers, is in keeping with our strict code of ethics and our commitment to excellence.

Course Curriculum - Scheduled for launch in late 2012, the American Butler School has been designed as a six-week program for the service professional wishing to upgrade their qualifications to pursue a career as Butler / House Manager. The course provides both practical and theoretical training to provide the student with the expertise, qualifications, and organizational systems needed to manage the homes, lifestyles and personalities of high net-worth individuals around the globe. The full curriculum will be provided upon application acceptance.

Placement of Butlers – Currently White Glove Services places butlers on both a fulltime and part-time basis throughout the southeastern United States with a heavy concentration in Florida. Please see Butlers On Call for more information on part-time butlers.

  • Butler Boot Camp - All non-certified butlers must undergo our Butler Boot Camp (a 5 day intense training program) that serves as verification of their skills and knowledge.
  • Under Butler Training - Butlers who accepted but deemed to require additional training, prior to placement, are enrolled into our four-week training program for Under-Butlers. This training covers proper cleaning & housekeeping, food service, table decorating and table settings, home management, safety, and home organization. Under–Butlers are placed in homes that do not require the services of a full Butler.
